At Landscapes and Contracts we take health and safety seriously.
Our management and site personnel continually strive to achieve the highest standards of health and safety on all our sites as we aim towards ‘Zero Harm’ in our industry.
We have the systems in place from our health and safety policy, health and safety management system through to our approach to risk assessments and method statements and training policy to ensure all our works are undertaken in the safest possible manner.
Our systems have been assessed externally and we are CHAS and Achilles accredited.
Our management as well as being professionally qualified, hold CITB Site Manager Safety Training Scheme Certificates and CSCS cards.
Our site personnel have a full range of qualifications to back up their experience including SVQ’s in construction operations, plant operations, streetworks, manual handling, abrasive wheels and over 95% hold CSCS, CPCS or NPORS tickets to prove their competency.
We also employ an external safety consultant who provides backup and additional information as required, ensures our procedures are up to date with current legislation and also visits all our sites monthly.
Our site personnel all carry a health and safety card which highlights the following messages:
"Nothing I do on site is so important that I cannot do it safely".
"The safety of the public, yourself and others around you is your first priority".
